Calpurnia's Dream

Cal: Caesar, my dear husband. Do please listen
To mine one last dream.
Caes: I will not Calpurnia, you have already
Stated what you feel.
Caesar creates thine own destiny.
Cal: But it isn’t just about you Caesar!
It’s about your friend, Marcus Brutus as well.
Caes: Wherefore does thou hide this?
Let me hear what troubles.
Cal: It followed the dream pertaining to you.
Thou really should stay with me-
Caes: I said that I shall entertain the thought
Now continue.
Cal: I know, it just frightens me so.
Caes: Continue with thine tale of horror.
Cal: Ay, we were at the senate house, for I
Was with thee for some unreasoned chance.
However, thou durst acknowledge me when thou
Saw me. In fact, thou acted like thee had
Seen Hades thineself!
Caes: Come now Calpurnia!
That seems too much.
Cal: But ‘twas what I saw!
Caes: That is far-fetched woman.
Cal: Should I continue with mine tale?
Caes: Of course, of course.
Cal: We were at the Senate
With Brutus in a room.
And there was a horrible snake.
Caes: Well of course you don’t like snakes!
Cal: But ‘tis not the reason.
Caes: Ay, continue.
Cal: Brutus was walking towards you when the snake
reared up behind him!
Caes: Blessed Apollo!
Cal: Ay, Apollo. But ‘tis all that it did.
However right after Antony and
Cassius walked through the door and looked right at
The snake.
Caes: Caius Cassius and Mark Antony?
Cal: Ay, the very same. Now do stop interrupting
For I will never finish!
Caes: Yes my love. Do continue.
Cal: They both picked up
The great thing and right as well threw it at
You. With which it continued to bite you,
But only once.
Caes: Oh my! Is that all?
Or did the great statue of Colossus
Fall with nothing but his feet left to stand?
Cal: Oh hush Caesar. This is oh so serious my love!
Caes: Julius Caesar dictates thine destiny.
Cal: Yes, I know dear. But you did say you would
Stay home anyway.
